Recovery of gold from copper-rich ores has proved challenging. Dissolved copper in cyanide-deficit leach solutions severely interferes with adsorption resulting low recoveries onto activated carbon or ion exchange resins. This study reports the efficiency different adsorbents for selective recovery copper-containing cyanide leachate. Activated (NORIT GAC 1240), mixed base (Purogold A193), strong (Dowex 21K XLT, Purogold A194) and weak S992) resins were tested as adsorbents. The pregnant solution (PLS), which contained 28.2 mg/L Au 2804 Cu was obtained cyanidation a roasted ore. showed superior capacity loading, succeeded by S992. On other hand, S992 (weak base) achieved highest degree selectivity over lowest adsorption. Mixed had loadings. These findings demonstrated that could be suitably used containing high level copper.
